** 2 Nebrasaka Standouts welcomed to the 2010 Program!
Nebraska Magic Basketball welcomes two more commits to the 2010 program! 6'4 SF out of Omaha, Dwight Smith of Ralston High School, class of 2010 and will play for the 19U Elite team this upcoming year. Dwight has made an oral committment to attend Colorado State University, following older brother Greg, who also played for Coach Gomez and the Nebraska Magic last year. Currently Dwight is averaging 16 ppg, 6 boards and 3 assists for head coach Bill Heard. Smith is showing his complete game in his final season at Ralston and looks to improve his overall game this last spring and summer before heading off to college.
The second commit for the 2010 program is Deverell Biggs, a 6'1 combo guard out of Omaha Central High School and will play for the 19U Elite team as well. Deverell is a four year varsity letter winner, winning a state title as a sophomore. He also excels in the high jump in track and field, finishing in the top 5 in the state. Biggs is currently averaging 21 ppg while dishing out 5 assists and pulling down 3 rebounds a game for head coach Eric Beherens. Deverell will look to improve his overall game and developing range on his 3 ball.
