Iowa Magic Alumni - Commits with NCAA Division II Upper Iowa University


Solon - Turner Wentzien, an Iowa Magic alumni and 2012 graduate of Solon High School (Solon, Iowa) has committed to continue his basketball career at NCAA Division II Upper Iowa University.

Turner recently completed his senior basketball season for the Solon Spartans leading his team with an average of 12.8 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals per game, and chalked up 4 blocks on the season.  Wentzien was named 1st team all WAMAC conference, 1st team All District and a runner up for the area Athlete of the year for the Iowa City Press Citizen.

He is a player that will bring heart, motivation and the desire to compete at the next level.  Turner will be joining his older brother, Tucker Wentzien, who will be a senior for the 2012-2013 season with the Peacocks.  Congratulations to Turner and Go Peacocks!!!




Congratulations to Coach Flores and the Illinois Magic 8th grade team on their tournament win at the RecPlex this past weekend, May 5-6!

The 16U Red Illinois Magic Girls wear blue laces in support of Maggie Youel, sister of their teammate and friend Evelyn Youel, who is seriously ill.


Congratulations to the Illinois Magic 4th grade team on their 2nd place finish at the Play Hard Hoops Tournament April 28-29th!



Congratulations to the Iowa Magic Grey 15U, 2nd place at the Iowa Corn Shark Classic April 14th and 15th!

17U Girls Receive All State Honorable Mention!

Coach Dello is proud to announce that four players from the 2011 17U Girls team have been named to the IBCA Honorable Mention All State Team.
The players include:
Erin Thomas from Richmond-Burton (Loyola University), Lauren Rooney from St. Viator (Hope College), Ali Sanders from Dundee-Crown (Florida Southern), and Jessica Villie from Marengo.  Jessica currently plays for Coach Dello on the 17U Girls team. 
 Congratulations to all four players and their families!
